First things first—Andrew Morris isn’t Sam. The “Sam” in Sam’s Caribbean Marketplace is actually Samuel Bonar, Andrew’s late father-in-law, but over the years, everyone has come to call Andrew Sam anyway.
Andrew is the Owner and CEO behind Sam’s Caribbean Marketplace, the iconic Caribbean grocery and restaurant serving up island flavors since 1993. A former foot messenger turned entrepreneur, he and his wife Jean (a Registered Nurse) launched the store after arriving from Jamaica with just $50 each.
Known for his charm, humor, and incredible knack for storytelling, Andrew has turned Sam’s into more than a store—it’s a Caribbean institution.
